Janet Scura Art
Digital Photography
As a student in Photo-design, I had a tendency to push the limits of the media to find what excited me. I realized quickly that I preferred the abstract to representational art.  Over the last ten years I have experimented with my photography and other electronic applications to create abstract images.. Originally my purpose was to show the intricate patterns in nature but later the patterns found in nature became the texture, color and design elements in my work.  By adding additional design elements and digital techniques to each piece, I am able to add movement and interest in each image.  I see PhotoShop as my canvas which allows me to freely add, change and delete elements as I create my art.
In this presentation I have tried to show the evolution of my work over the last 10 years. I have divided my work into ten groups according to the techniques used in each.
